Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with a strong background in Australian accounting practices. The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of hands-on experience working with Australian clients or within an Australian accounting environment. This is a strict requirement for the role.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end bookkeeping for Australian clients
Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Prepare monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss (P&L)
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Process invoices, payments, and collections
Assist with BAS preparation and lodgement support
Ensure compliance with Australian tax regulations, including GST and FBT
Support payroll processing (if required)
Assist with year-end reporting and audit preparation
Work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure accurate reporting
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Australian accounting (REQUIRED)
Direct experience working with Australian clients or companies (REQUIRED)
Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and compliance
Hands-on experience with GST, BAS, and FBT
Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently in a fully remote setup
